5 painted pianos are placed in Glen Echo Park, MD for the public to play on. Wouldn’t it be fun to own one? They are fully functioning pianos. Click the link below to see them all and put your bid in.
This was a wonderful experience. It was a lot of work. For sure but I’m happy I was able to participate.
Not sure if the pianos were ever auctioned off. I’ll have to find the before picture.
A 3-day Art Clinic for the wounded warrior program of Walter Reed Military Medical hospital in Washington-DC was by far the most heartwarming clinic I’ve ever conducted, leaving participants feeling inspired and empowered.
There was one soldier, who refused to take part in any activity at all. Everyone was surprised that after a few hours just watching us he picked up a paint brush and painted a few lines on the group project we were working on. At the end of the workshop he walked away with a large painting of a butterfly that he made for his daughter. I was blown away.
