Explore your Posibilities

I’ve taken a number of classes with Elisabeth and love her approach to combining instruction and knowledge with freedom for her students to follow their instincts and intuition.” J.K.

We Were Made to Create

Contrary to what most believe, we all are innately creative, but most of us are not connected to our creativity anymore.

We sing less. Dance less. Tell fewer stories. But our brains haven’t evolved away from it. We’re still hard wired to create.

In modern life, we’ve outsourced too much. We scroll instead of sketch. Work instead of wonder. The result? Many of us feel stressed, stuck, or quietly disconnected and don’t know why.

Painting is one way to be creative, but not the only form of creativity. We can be creative with dance, music, poetry, gardening, the list is endless. Painting is just one of those art forms we can all can relate to. However, most of us were told that we were not good at it, so most of us stayed away from it. I felt that discouragement when I was in highschool I was so excited about art class, but the teacher had her favorite student who made beautiful expressive paintings. I felt lost and sad. I loved the process of painting, but didn’t pick it up until much later in life.

Why? I went into another direction, into the corporate world. One incident surprised me. I was asked to teach shorthand to secretarial students. Because …. wait for it … my shorthand was so beautiful, teaching beautiful. So I did that for a year. But I moved on and went into the international corporate world.

Once I picked up a brush to paint seriously, it felt like coming home. I knew I had to work for it …. remember high school … but I also knew that I could do it.

So when you have that feeling, that yearning for more creativity in your life, why not pick up a brush and give yourself permission to explore with paint?

Something will shift. Something awakens inside. This is why creativity matters to all of us, especially now.

Painting does more than you think:

  • It lowers stress and soothes the nervous system

  • Reconnects you with joy, curiosity, and insight

  • Builds trust in your intuition—on and off the canvas

  • Awakens the parts of your brain linked to storytelling, problem-solving, and vision

This isn’t fluff. It’s neuroscience. And it’s a call back to what makes us human.

And that’s what students often tell. They can feel I live what I teach. It’s not just theory. It’s embodied. And it invites them to do the same.

Forget those high school days. According to neuroscientist Dr. Daniel Amen those automatic negative thoughts (ANTs) that we are not creative don’t serve us well.  They hold us back spectacularly. He challenges us to question our thoughts instead of believing them, just because we think them. That’s exactly what happens in the creative process. When we paint, move, journal, or sculpt, we gently shift those thought patterns and connect with something deeper. Because when we stop believing every thought… we start listening to what’s true.

“We don’t need more perfection. We need more aliveness.”

So whether you’re a scientist, a teacher, or a traveler—if you’ve ever said, “I’m not creative,” maybe it’s time to ask:

Who told you that?

And what might be waiting if you no longer believed it?

That’s where my programs come in.
Whether it’s painting, journaling, a retreat, or a coaching session—everything I offer is designed to help you reconnect with yourself, rediscover your creativity, and feel more alive in your art and your life.
