Hello radiant creator!

I’m Elisabeth, a certified Co-Active Coach and Award winning Artist, and I’m so excited to share this free visual journaling prompt from my Visual Journal Guide. This digital book is all about helping you, especially women seeking purpose, tap into your inner wisdom through the joy of art and coaching. No need to be an artist or dig into the past; this is about connecting with your body’s truth right now, letting it spark colors and images that guide you toward what lights you up.

In this quick, soulful exercise, you’ll listen to a sensation in your body, let it reveal shapes or an image, and bring it to life on paper.

It’s a playful, no-rules way to check in with yourself and connect with your inner wisdom. All you need is paper and simple tools, markers, crayons, or even paint if you’re feeling adventurous (no pressure!).

Let’s Get Started

Take a moment to set an intention: What do you want to discover or feel in this moment? Maybe it’s clarity, joy, or simply curiosity. Find a cozy spot, breathe deeply, and let your body guide you. The prompt below will walk you through this intuitive process. Trust your inner voice, have fun, and let’s create something uniquely yours!

Free Prompt: A Check-In with Your Inner Wisdom

Gather Your Tools
Take a piece of paper and any tools that feel good, markers, crayons, pencils, or paint if you’re ready to play. No need for fancy supplies; this is about freedom, not perfection. Let your hand draw or paint the image or shape from your body. Trust its flow and let it be whatever it wants to be.

Set Your Intention
Sit quietly and think of something you want to know more about. It might be something as simple as: “What’s here at the moment?” “Why am I feeling so (fill in the blanks) ?”  Once you have named the intention, write it down on the piece of paper you’re going to draw/paint on.

Tune into Your Body
Now we are going to connect with the body and find the answers. Close your eyes and pay attention to the rise and fall of your chest. Notice if there’s something in your body that needs attention, a sensation, maybe a tightness in your shoulders, a warmth in your chest, or a flutter in your belly. Rest your attention there, like visiting a friend. Look around, be curious. Is it dark? Is it warm? Colorful? And ask for an image. When you get an image, draw/paint it on the paper. If you don’t get an image, then simply make a doodle and let the image grow.

Look with Kindness
When you’re finished with your drawing, place it in front of you. Take a long, gentle look, as if meeting a part of yourself for the first time. Notice its lines, colors, and energy without labeling it good or bad. Let it speak to you.

Listen to Your Image
By asking questions to your drawing you deepen your understanding of what your image is revealing:

What do I see in this image? Describe shapes, colors, or mood as it is.

Is there a surprise? An inspiration?

Celebrate Your Courage
Take a moment to thank yourself for showing up. Your image is a piece of your soul’s voice, and that’s powerful!

Feel free to reach out if you would like to share your experience.
